Summary:
Walker's Tap & Table, a vibrant and popular restaurant located in Glenwood, MD, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Cleaning Person/Porter.
As a crucial member of our staff, you will play an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout our establishment, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our valued guests.
Responsibilities:
1.
Cleaning and Sanitization:
Perform thorough cleaning of all areas within the restaurant premises, including dining areas, kitchen, restrooms, and storage spaces, ensuring they are tidy, sanitized, and well-maintained.
2.
Floor Care:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floor surfaces regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent hazards.
Promptly attend to any spills or accidents to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
3.
Waste Management:
Handle and dispose of trash, recyclables, and compost appropriately, following local sanitation guidelines and environmentally friendly practices.
4.
Restroom Maintenance:
Regularly clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with essential supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
5.
Equipment and Supply Management:
Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
Keep all cleaning equipment clean and in good working condition.
6.
Adherence to Safety Standards:
Follow established safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.
7.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with the restaurant staff to support their cleaning needs, such as assisting with dishwashing or helping with event setups when required.
8.
Reporting and Communication:
Report any maintenance or cleanliness-related issues to the supervisor promptly, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
Requirements:

Experience:
Prior experience in a similar cleaning or porter role is preferred, but not required.

Physical Stamina:
This position requires physical agility and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
